client groups and issues

Issues we can help with

The most common mental health issues in Australia are anxiety and depression, and we certainly help with those. We can also assist with:

  • relationships (conflict resolution, separation/divorce, parenting)
  • general health (pain, rehabilitation, sleep, stress, weight)
  • trauma and harm
  • skills training to address anger, assertiveness, communication, parenting, problem solving, and stress
  • life transition and adjustment
  • pregnancy support
  • grief and loss
  • aging

Issues we refer on

The complexity of some issues mean they require assessment and treatment by a specialist in that particular field. We want the best care for you and are happy to refer you to specialist practitioners.

Issues we refer include:

  • severe eating disorders requiring medical monitoring,
  • treatment of sex and/or violent offenders,
  • some psychological assessments. We do not conduct cognitive assessments with intelligence testing or in-depth educational or developmental assessments.

The practice does not currently accept clients who are 16 years or younger.

Use the Australian Psychological Society's Find a Psychologist service or view alternative providers.
